Why is it that some pretty large dogs are found in smaller beds, like cat beds? I personally don’t understand this when there are perfectly good large dog beds available, but it seems to happen alot. Pet beds come in sizes so our pets can be comfortable, so what’s up with this phenomenon?
I’ve seen other blogs or articles where this behavior has been identified, but I’d never seen it myself until yesterday. My neighbor’s German Shephard, who has large dog beds that are very nice, was curled up on top of cat beds, completely covering it. I pointed it out to my neighbor and asked if this was common. She answered “yes” with a bewildered look and a shrug of the shoulders.
I guess it doesn’t really matter what size pet beds our beloved furry companions choose to sleep in, it just seems choosing one that fits would be more comfortable. But I’m not of the canine species, so what do I know!
