BB guns and air rifles being used to shoot at animals is more prevalent in the news these days. There was a recent report where a cat was shot with an air rifle and the air pellet was lodged in its’ shoulder. It couldn’t be removed without the risk of further muscular damage. What’s wrong with people??!!!
This trend makes me very concerned about letting my precious pets out and about on their own. So I pull out the cat carriers, dog carriers or one of the pet strollers when I want to take the “kids” out. It’s sad they have to suffer for the cruelty of some.
Pepper’s not really fond of cat carriers, but she yowls to go outside, so she just has to deal with it or one of the pet strollers. She doesn’t understand why her freedom is being limited. The looks she gives me breaks my heart, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. As for Sugar, she’s too big for dog carriers now … but she doesn’t get to go out by herself either. One of us has to be with her.
