If you use dog carriers, cat carriers or pet strollers to take your precious pet out and about with you, then you aren’t necessarily impacted by the vehicle downsizing many Americans are doing due to the price of gas. For those who need large dog crates to transport their furry friends, this may be a problem.
We have friends with two large dogs that like to take them along when they travel. They recently downsized to a more economical car and soon realized they would no longer be able to take their dogs with them. The dog crates just don’t fit. Instead, they’re left in the dog pens at home.
This is a sad but true occurrence for many owners of large pets. They could always take them without the dog crates and have them just sit on the seat, but this isn’t safe for them or their dogs. Just one more hardship these economic times have presented.
We all know our pets love to be with us, so instead of taking them wherever we go , we stay home a bit more. Let them out of the dog pens at home and spend more time walking with them, or playing in the yard. You’ll save even more on gas and still have great quality time with your large pets.
