They Actually Chewed It Through

July 23rd, 2008 · 1 Comment · dog carriers, dog crates

So my friend takes her small dogs with her everywhere.  She transports them insoft-sided  dog crates or dog carriers.  While these are good for the car or air travel, they didn’t stand up to her dogs when she wasn’t around.  I never realized how important it is to not leave your dogs alone in soft-sided dog crates or dog carriers.

Her dogs must be alot like other dogs whose owners are with them most of the time.  They’re very attached to her and don’t like to be left alone.  She told me her dogs had chewed and/or clawed their soft-sided dog crates and dog carriers completely through one day when she left them inside them while she wasn’t around.  Evidently the materials used weren’t so reliable when a dog really wants to get out.  So it seems it’s not such a good idea to leave them inside soft-sided dog crates or dog carriers unless you’re going to be around.  Of course, I don’t think it’s ever a good idea to keep your dogs in dog crates or dog carriers unless you’re actually using them for training purposes or for travel.

Till next time …
