With warm weather come ticks and fleas. It’s important to treat not only your pets, but their environment as well. Be sure to treat the yard and dog pens, as well as dog crates, dog carriers, cat carriers, pet strollers and all pet beds. It’s important to treat these areas with products that not only kill adult bugs, but their larvae, too.
Once you get the environment treated, then it’s time to treat your pets. There are an abundance of products on the market for this purpose. Be sure to consult your veterinarian for an appropriate product as some that are good for dogs, aren’t good for cats. You also want to make sure the product kills both fleas and ticks. Some products kill only fleas.
So, if you see your furry friend chewing at the base of their tail or scratching alot, get busy and start treating everywhere for fleas and ticks.
