We have some friends that have a beautiful German Shepherd. They bought a couple of large dog beds for her, but of course, she prefers to sleep in their bed. The large dog beds they bought are very nice. One is for inside and the other is for outside.
Sophie, the dog’s name, gets conflicting signals from her owners. One tells her to go sleep in one of her large dog beds while the other doesn’t mind her sleeping in their bed. This has become a real issue for them, as well as Sophie.
Dogs are like children in needing consistent behavior training. So whether it’s large dog beds, dog carriers or pet strollers, whatever you want your dog to get into, be consistent.
