Pet stairs can help your older dog reach his favorite places. For Sugar, this means a particular chair she’s allowed in. Her outside dog beds are always available, but when she’s inside, she likes her chair.
Sugar loves to ride in the car but it’s gotten increasingly difficult for her. If you have this situation, try a ramp. Ramps are easier than stairs for aging dogs with arthritis. We keep dog beds in the back of the SUV for Sugar. For longer trips, the dog beds goes inside of her dog crates for safety.
Sugar still likes to take long walks and can still handle them. If your pet needs assistance there are pet trailers and pet bicycle baskets available. I’ve seen dog beds put inside these for comfort and you can still have your aging pal with you.
