Pets and Car Travel

January 31st, 2008 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I couldn’t leave this subject without doing at least one more blog entry.  We’ve established putting your dog or cat inside the car in either cat carriers, dog carriers  or dog crates is the safest way to travel with your furry loved one.

If you’re going on a long trip, be sure to take water and a water dish.  If you’re in extreme heat or cold weather conditions, please don’t leave your pet inside the car for more than five minutes.  Take the cat carriers or dog carriers with you if you have to leave the car for longer than that.  Temperatures inside your car can reach killer stages in a matter of minutes.  It’s always a good idea on long trips to take a leash and let your pet take a walk and potty break when you do.  Simple things to remember … right?!

Till next time …
