Yesterday I saw a cat bolt out of its owner’s car at the grocery store. The owner was running after it, calling its name trying to get the cat back in the car. Other people were trying to surround the poor thing so the owner could get it.
Folks, this is so easily avoided. Most cats aren’t good car travelers on their own. It’s important to put your cats in cat carriers when traveling. Having them in cat carriers protects them while you’re driving and keeps them from bolting out an open door. The poor cat I saw running around yesterday was so frightened by all the commotion. The use of cat carriers could have prevented the entire ordeal.
It’s not always easy to get your cats into their cat carriers, but it’s the safest way for you to take them with you in the car.
