This morning it was time for Pepper to get her treatment for fleas and ticks. We use the type that is liquid and goes onto the back of her neck. It’s always difficult to get this done because Pepper acts like this is killing her.
One of us literally has to hang onto her firmly while the other applies the medicine. She jerks and does her best to pull away. Sometimes she manages to escape to her cat beds before it’s completely applied. One time she even ran into her cat carriers. Of course, using the cat carriers was pretty smart as we would rarely look for her there.
We always dread giving her this medicine because she seems to dislike it sooooo much. She may spend the entire day in her cat beds sulking. Hopefully she understands at some level that we do this because we love her.
